Local Repairs - Apex & Holly
Springs, NC
We have had a lot of success in doing repairs locally
using the www.NextDoor.com web site to
spread the word of our repair services. By providing our repair
services , we are able to provide you with economical repair services and at
the same time, we get access to more things to repair and document for this
web site. We can pretty much fix most anything that has electricity
going through it...for example, washers, dryers, dishwashers, garbage
disposals, ice makers, electronic ignition fireplaces, HVAC units, HDTVs, etc.
I know sometimes you just don't want to fix it
yourself. You may not feel comfortable working with 120 or 240 volts; you may
not have all the tools; you may not want to know how to solder; or, you just
need to get it fixed fast. That's where we can help. As an example of what we have fixed in the
neighborhoods of Holly Springs, NC and Apex, NC, we have compiled a list of
things fixed locally (these are just a
few of the many things we fix)

- Ice Maker Not Working
Ice makers notoriously break within the refrigerators. We fix all
kinds and styles. Most parts we stock locally so we can fix it right away.
Pictured below are some of the many ice makers which we have fixed.

- Ice Dispenser Not Working
Pictured below is an LG refrigerator. It was not properly dispensing ice.
The ice door flap was not closing all the way (sometimes causing water to drip
onto the floor) and it seemed to always deliver crushed ice...wouldn't do
cubed ice. Also shown, is a GE model refrigerator in which the ice flap
door isn't shutting.

and only delivering crushed ice

- Dryer not getting hot or drying.
The dryer element or thermal fuse will typically burn out in about 5-7 years,
which will leave you with no heat coming out of the dryer. They will go out
faster if you do not keep your dryer vent cleaned. If your dryer vent
duct is clogged, this will also shortened the life of the heater element or
thermal fuse. Good news is that either of these problems can be fixed.
One of the models that this repair applies to is Whirlpool GEQ9800PW1

- Garbage disposal replacement (or repair, if
repairable...but most times it requires replacement).
These garbage disposals last about 5 years. If you are getting close to
that time frame and your disposal is giving you trouble, it's probably time to
be replaced.

needs to be replaced within about 5 years or so
- HVAC - Your AC has just stopped working. Your unit
outside is not working and inside your house you are just getting warm air
blown out the vents.
The outside fan on the
unit shown below just stopped working, causing the cooling to stop inside.
This is a Lennox HVAC unit ( model number 10ACC-024-230-04 ), however, this
unit is very similar to all types of HVAC units (not just Lennox). All HVAC
units operate the same way...there's not a whole lot of difference between
units. This can usually be fixed without the need for a whole new unit.

- Gear Selector Readout and odometer on Chevrolet /
GMC Tahoe Repair
The gear selector readout and
the odometer readout slowing began to fade out. It would sometimes be visible
when you first started the car, but eventually it got to where there was no
readout.

restored to its full brightness.
- Radio Displays gone blank
There are many radios in cars in which the display just goes blank (everything
else tends to keep working). We can fix a number of different types of radios
with these blank display problems.

a 2007 Ford.
